Can you believe I’ve just taken 241 photos in our trip? No need for additional memory cards at all.

I was in a hype to snap on anything for sometimes but the novelty wore off. Plus, when you have a toddler who wanted to take-off every time you let go of his hand, taking photos wasn’t a priority anymore.

Anyway, they say the best photos or memories are in your mind. But, I will share you this.

Andito Na Kami

The P’s are back from the Philippines. We’ve been here for... actually, but I am still on holiday mode. It’s really nice to be away from work and from our daily routine but sadly, we have to get back to reality.

The holiday was fun, fun, fun, fun. We met lots of family and relatives but not as much friends. There was not enough time to do everything planned. What with a toddler in tow, half of the time that we were out was spent on changing nappies, watching fountains, riding the escalators, looking for kids-friendly restaurants and amusing a monster.

I had my dose of Pinoy cuisine that will last me hopefully a year although, I haven’t eaten everything that I wanted to. Again, with two Westerners (and a quarter Chinese and a quarter Italian) in my company, there wasn’t much choices. No need for me to buy diet pills online as, if I have beefed up, I will be glad of it.

I will share more stories and photos as soon I have completely unpacked.

Although, I’m a worry-wart, I am also optimistic. Isn’t it conflicting? But I am.

What’s really true is I’m rarely get depress – I even can’t remember when? I cry, I sulk, I go EMO but that moment doesn’t last long. I don’t get bored either. I have very varied interests that there are so many things that I can do in my spare time. In fact, I don’t have spare time at all.

Bottom line? I am a happy-go-lucky person, on the positive note.

Sleepless

I’m sleep deprived these days. Maybe, even if we have a sleep number bed I would still be the same. I’m partly excited and partly stressed. Excited that our trip is three big sleeps more to go but worried that I am not finished packing up. Although, it’s just the last minute details that’s needed, for some reason they’re always the most important things that you should have attended to. And I think, what’s freaking me more is the fact that I want to be organised as much as I can and I put pressure on myself too much that there lingers the thought that I could have missed something.

Well, I pardon myself for being a worry-wart although I am trying to free myself from that negative habit. This is our first big trip with the little boy and having him means careful and tedious planning and execution.

But, ready or not... we are going! So I better be ready! :P

On Mothers' Day

I’ve been thinking to post this last Saturday. I thought it would be advanced but I got caught up with weekend chores that I wasn’t able to that day. Sunday is out of the picture.

Anyway, how was my 2nd Mother’s day? Just fine. I was down with cold. We went to visit my FIL at the hospital and bought Italian dinner on the way home. It was our first try in that cafe but we were not disappointed. I actually surprised myself to eat heaps.

My mother’s day presents would be shopping in the Philippines. And the Little Boy, brought home this on Friday.

My little boy has talent, you know. And he likes painting, writing, drawing. Hummm, he might be leaning on to art career. Too early to say, you reckon?

Catching Up

There are lots of Pinoys in our suburb but I don’t really have time to socialise or join a club so I can’t say that I have friends or constant Pinay acquaintances here.

Then, after a couple of months working on the other side of town, I met two Filipinas while waiting and in the train. We have become classmates of sort now. We sometimes see each other on the way home. Nothing much to do rather than talk about our day and what-have-yous but it’s quite fun especially that we talk in Tagalog.

And what can you say when I instantly bond with another Filipina that I was saw in another train station. I usually swap trains on the way home and she was also waiting for the same train as me. I can see that she was tired but I blabbered away and so we talked from there up to til I got off the train. She lives in the next suburb from ours (not really like in the Outer Banks rentals). And before I got off, she gave me Korean food which has a similarity with the Pinoy Pichi-pichi. It was quite nice.

The Trip

In less than three weeks time, we’ll be off to our long awaited holiday in the Philippines. It’s been almost 2 years since I last set foot to my used to be “home”. It’s Mcj’s third visit and Jens’ first. I’m really excited about it that it feels like I’m going on to Vegas vacations, even more.

I’m not excited as to packing though. I’m not ready in that department yet but I’m almost finished with the planning. Hahaha. I don’t count down as it means, I have to hurry deciding what to bring and what not.

Oh well. If ever I forgot something here, I can just buy it in Manila as we would be spending a couple of days before taking a boat to my parents’ place.

Here’s a rough idea of our itinerary:
Leave Oz on Saturday morning and will be in Manila at night.
3 days in Manila
11 days in Bacolod, Isabela, etc.
4 days in Manila again
Leave Manila Thursday night and back in Oz Friday morning.

We haven’t got a definite plan on what to do on those days but we’re hoping of spending more time with my family especially Jens as it is his first time to meet the clan.
