Local Shops

We ran the errand for my Mother In Law this morning at the local shops - she doesn't drive anymore but not on disability appeal. My son and I always volunteered if it's just around our area.

Afte shopping, before getting in the car, I couldn't resist to snap. People on the streets were staring.

Where To Shop

We do our shopping at one of the major supermarkets here in Australia that we believe is owned by a local. MCJ is supportive of local businesses - although, they sell imported products. We know for a fact that there are other shops that offer cheaper prices. But we insist to go there because we can earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points from our Credit Card and their loyalty card.

Today, I ran some errands for my Mother-in-law and went to ALDI. It's not a big shop and most of their products are imported. They don't carry the frequently endorsed brands. But men, the prices of the products were so cheap. For a loaf of raisen bread - you could save almost 2 bucks. That's ginormous.

I'm now thinking of going shopping there for some of our groceries (not really for homemade acne remedies). I just have to convince Mcj. We might draw up some budget comparison before doing so.

My Valentine

When you are into someone, you really want to show it. You know... physically show it. So while Valentine's Day dates are nice enough, you believe that the fun part comes later - behind closed doors. You are a very intense person, and you are a total free spirit. You don't have any hangups. Whether you've been with your sweetie for a few days, a few months, or a few years, you're ready to have the most passionate night possible.



No special gifts (like best colon cleanse), flowers, chocolates ( or anything this year as like the previous years. We're not really the type of couples who celebrates special occasions as everyday is special to us.

But today, we're going to the circus and tomorrow is my parents-in-law's wedding anniversary as well as my little boy's 31 months birthday. We'll see what we will do tomorrow.

Celebrating and Mourning

A few minutes or so, the Winter Olympics 2010 will have it's opening ceremony. Everyone who's following it and watching, may it be in telly or witnessing it with their eyes there, are ecstatic. But I feel it wouldn't be a merry affair as everyone was expecting it to be yesterday.

The tragic accident of a Nodar Kumaritashvili is just horrifying.

It has cast a shadow to the supposedly exciting event.

You would think, it's not fair. I'm sure he's not one of those who resort to testosterone booster and the sport isn't something that will need it, but it's just sad that his life has come to an end.

I'm sure they're very much aware that the sport is sort of like an accident waiting to happen.

Latest Gadget

Last Monday, Jens was picked-up early from “school”. They rang me while I’m on the train and I couldn’t hear a word that he was saying because of some noise in the background.

When I got him, he greeted me in the garage and up he went. Then, I heard the noise again. Lo and behold, it’s a synthesiser.

Mcj went to Dick Smith to buy some electrical parts and he saw it and couldn’t resist buying it. He said, it has Jens’ name written all over it – what with the colour combination, it resembles The Wiggles’ musical instrument.

As we are cost cutting, I readily asked him how much it cost us. He said, just a reimbursement from Medicare for two of dockets of GP Bill. Not bad although, it doesn’t include replacement batterieseries. I reckon, it’s worth it as it has now become a family toy.
