RIP MJ

I am not a big fan but I was saddened by his death. God bless his children and family.

*****

I saw an hour-and-a-half tribute show tonight in Channel 9 and I was inspired more than ever with his talent. I like him more when he was dark and young before all the eccentricities came in.

I believe his music will live forever. I need to add to my shopping list, one of his albums (and maybe copper sinks for the future?).

Technologically Challenged

Last night, I was acquainted with the latest add for Nintendo. I’m not into games so I just get to know their names in the ads. I may know their name but I don’t know what they look like unless they look like what’s in the add.

At some point, I was rooting for a wii (with Wii accessories) but it faded as I am sure I won’t be able to use it.

I wanted to buy a new mobile phone before we went for a holiday. When we came back, Mcj said every time I desire for one, I should just look at my wrist. You see, he bought me a new Danish watch which is a lovey. :) I so love it. Thanks, Honeypie.

Internet Junkie

In our entire trip, we have visited internet cafes for more or less 10 times. They were necessary though. Mcj brought with him some stuff to do online like checking emails, banking, footy tipping, etc. They were just all saved in a flash drive including logon name and password for security purposes in case the cafe has no online security just like the one we visited in my hometown.

Major Accident

During our trip that is.

My parents have no patio sets but just concrete benches around the patio. On our 1st day there (we arrived night – so it wasn’t counted), Jens was already starting to feel at home. He sat on the bench trying to take his shoes off and when he successfully did, went out of balance and tumbled down the gravelly ground. The result, bruises from the forehead (just above the eye brow) down to the eye lid and below the eye. I was thankful the fall didn’t damage his eye.

If you want to know what Mcj and I were doing? We were there watching him.

Well, after that Jens had only few attempts to climb the bench. Lesson well learned, I believe.

The Snaps

Can you believe I’ve just taken 241 photos in our trip? No need for additional memory cards at all.

I was in a hype to snap on anything for sometimes but the novelty wore off. Plus, when you have a toddler who wanted to take-off every time you let go of his hand, taking photos wasn’t a priority anymore.

Anyway, they say the best photos or memories are in your mind. But, I will share you this.

Andito Na Kami

The P’s are back from the Philippines. We’ve been here for... actually, but I am still on holiday mode. It’s really nice to be away from work and from our daily routine but sadly, we have to get back to reality.

The holiday was fun, fun, fun, fun. We met lots of family and relatives but not as much friends. There was not enough time to do everything planned. What with a toddler in tow, half of the time that we were out was spent on changing nappies, watching fountains, riding the escalators, looking for kids-friendly restaurants and amusing a monster.

I had my dose of Pinoy cuisine that will last me hopefully a year although, I haven’t eaten everything that I wanted to. Again, with two Westerners (and a quarter Chinese and a quarter Italian) in my company, there wasn’t much choices. No need for me to buy diet pills online as, if I have beefed up, I will be glad of it.

I will share more stories and photos as soon I have completely unpacked.
