Friday Meme

Thanks Mitch for inviting me in this Friday meme. And I love your questions huh. They really make me think, as if I do really think. :)

Q: JULY 25 - Looking back the days when you were still single, how would you differentiate your life now? How do you keep up with you busy schedule every day?

I could say that my life has been a complete turn-around. 360 degrees max. I used to be very busy at work, shopping and going out with friends on weekdays including Saturdays. Sundays were well, the typical Sunday - washing, cleaning, church time, some time for Hubs online, sleeping in and pigging out.
Now that I am a SAHM, I sleep in most of the days. My hands are always full but I am not that busy. Life is much more exciting. Common complaint I heard from Pinoy living overseas is having no full time help. I realise, if you are a SAHM there's really not much to do other than attending to your little ones whims and wishes. With the modcons available, everything is just a push-button and waiting for sometime.
But well, being a SAHM has just grown on me. It is still too early for me to say anything but so far so good. And they said, things just couldn't get any better as it go.
I wonder though when I am finally joining the corporate rat race, if I could still say the same. Hopefully yes. I have a very supportive husband. What else could I ask for.
Oh yeah, life has been good to me. It is never like this when I was single. I have a one-and-a-half-men that are always there for me. And no debt collection agencies chasing after me. Kidding!

Kadamu Award

Thanks Idealpinkrose for this award.

Though this really makes me wonder what kadamo means. In my native tongue, it means many.

I pass on this award to my frequent visitors. You all deserve it, friends.

I Ramble...

I know, I know. I've been a slack in blogging. I haven't updated this blog for a long while. Nor have I visited your blog recently. I have a very valid excuse err.. reason. Yeah. My Little Tatapilla. Now that he has started walking on his own, it's too hard to leave him on his cot. He wants to wander around the house, visit every room - including bathroom and toilet. When it is sunny, he likes playing outdoors - pushing his trike and bike or just watching the birds. Sure, he plays on his own but when left on the floor he gets into every mischief possible - pulling the wires including those of like CAT6 cables, pulls everything, plays with the remote controls, climbs on anything and whatever comes to his mind. I tell you, I have more time in my hands when he was just a happy jappy lying on his bouncinette than now. But, I am not complaing. My boy is really now a big GUY. And he is just such a delightful little creature that you can imagine.

On the weather side, it's getting colder and colder her by the day - a little over 10 degree. And according to the forecast, it will be this way for the following days due to glacial crash something. This is something new and first to me here in down under. Everyone is getting sniffles.

To The Pet Lovers

I was not big on pets before. We do have dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, and birds when I was growing up but I really didn't take care of any of them. Sure there were times that I had to feed them but that was the most that I did. No more tender loving care. Nor caring much for them at all. Now, I have a different tune. Though I don't give Lucky (our cat) TLC, I care for him. I sometimes feed him when Mcj is busy or not around. I pick up his food from the supermarket. For me, that's enough effort to show that I care and love him.

Veering off from that, if you are a pet lover there is a website that you can join and meet people with the same interest as yours. Isn't that interesting? I know that there are people around your neighbourhood that have pets but joining a pet social network will give you more access to information about your pet, some tips and even develop a friendship - in a wide range aspect. Plus, joining in zootoo means supporting a group that gives assistance to pet shelters and rescue group. It's joining for a cause.

Beauty Freebies

Look here.. look here. I got freebies, again. This is the third time that I received a goodie box from Maybelline. And wow, it always excites me.

It says in the card, I won it from the contest. I'm a lucky girl. Hehehe.

The box contains the dream matte collection of concealers, powder, foundation, blush, shadow and bronzer.

With all these freebies, it looks though that Maybelline wants me to start wearing makeup. I've started using the lipsticks, so what's next?

Money for the Piggy Bank.

Our health insurance provider de-mutualise recently. We heard the news first in May. As a result, member would receive payment because of it. We received a check yesterday - it would have been sitting in the mail box for at least a week. It was good. Money for the piggy bank.

We upgraded our medicare supplement last year when Jens was born and when I got my medicare card. True, our premium had doubled. Apparently, the payout from the demutualisation was based on the cover so we received a little bit more. Well, we pay more so we received more.

We have to wait for the check to clear before we can transfer the money to our savings account with high interest rate.

Cool Dude

The little boy is on retail high (so is Mummy). I used to see my Mummy friends before buying stuff for their kids even if that was not the purpose why we went to the shops. Now, I exactly do the same. May it be books, clothes, toys or just anything for the little boy.

We've been to the shop many times these past days and we always get something for him. Just like this Jeep trike.

It wasn't the reason why we were at the shop. We were looking for a car/truck toy. But couldn't find any and on our way out, we saw this and tried him onto it. He's wee small for it but he'll grow into it eventually. I guess we bought it because of the cool factor. Hehehe.

Profession Tag

I'm sort of like busy these days - errand here and there, trip to the shops back and forth (not that I am shopping for an LCD mount).

Anyway, this tag is very long overdue but better late than never, right sis? So here goes:

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Copy and paste everything to a new post and Add your name next to your profession (or profession-to-be for undergrads) in the list. Make sure your name is linked to your blog/webbie.
Tip: For easier capture of links, paste into your blog using the “Visual” (for WP) and Compose (for Blogger) modes (not Edit HMTL or HTML).
2. If your profession is not in the list then simply add it to the correct alphabetical place. For example, if you want to add PLUMBER then it should be placed in between ONCOLOGIST and QUEEN.
3. Tag as many people as you can and witness how your technorati will explode!
4. Don’t forget to link back. In your case, link back to Era.
