ang gulo at ang saya

some of the pix that we had in our planning session con team building in
club manila east, taytay, rizal.

there were just two games introduced. one is the logits.. where i belonged to team no 3.. we were the first to finish in the all stations but we were the last because almost all of the eggs were broken even before it was thrown away. hehehe. we had the most eggs but we broke half of them. talking of my carelessness.

he next game is where we form a circle and had to hold the hand of anybody in front of us and untangle it later... that was the most difficult, tiring but enjoyable game. you can see and hear the exasperated looks, the desperate stares and sighs, loudest laughs... but to sum it up.. we were having fun.

we row the kayak tirelessly up to sawa... had also swim til it gets darker. we didn't mind the numb feelings in our torso and back... we thought that we would feel worse the next day but what a heck! this is not so often. =)

the place is very nice and relaxing. lots of flowering plants. it is just right for week-end getaways for families and groups.

there's also a nice water slide but it didn't work for me. i had tried twice but always end up walking down to the last stream.. hehehe. hindi ako madulas. waaaaaaaaa!

trip to divisoria

some people spend their holidays vacationing, visiting places, partying or sleeping.. but us? we went to divisoria. its been a long time the last time that i've been there. well, holiday is just my time to do things that's out of my routine. sundays are always fully booked.

we woke up around 9AM... had our breakfast and head-off there. it was so traffic on the way because of the seagame and of course, its holiday and everyone is going to divisoria.. ohh maybe, just us who wants to buy practical gifts. hehehe. well, the jeepney driver just drop us off close to eng beetin store.. its still a long walk to the market.

there are lots of people walking to and fro, so traffic. bigger vans passing by the congested area.. waaaaaa! pinoy talaga! and the street vendors running and cramming to secure their paninda's from the police. they're not allowed to sell on the street though. some even bribed the policemen so they can market their goods. kawawa naman sila.

we were having fun tossing and buying goods from the streets than in the malls/stalls. you can buy lots of things with a thousand pesos in your pocket. i was even carrying a big beach bag full of goods then.

but i haven't bought all the things that i want though we went home around 6PM. i was so tired and exhausted. my feet feel numb from strain in walking and standing.

we will be back soon! it will be another story to tell =)

3 months of wedded bliss and something =)

its our 3rd wedding monthsary now. well, i am not really counting coz for us, getting married is just a formality to make the relationship legal in the eyes of the people. i have felt being married to my husband when i said "yes" to his proposal more than a year ago.

and being married to him didn't change any in our relationship. maybe, it did.. but for the better. i have been acting the same way as before and same with chris. we had ups and downs... mainly because i am a difficult and uncommon partner. =) right Honey? but we make a good tandem.. because chris is a molder and a perfectionist.

ohhh my, its just nice to remember the day when we inserted rings on each other's third left hand fingers.. and saying "i dos" infront of our parents and close friends.

fave dessert on night shirt

guess what i've found in the mall last saturday? a strawberry short cake night shirt.. wohooooo. its my favorite dessert. i may not eat it always but i can wear it as often as i like. i bet, this night shirt will be more worn-out than the others that i have.

i found it in the kids' section.. it is size 12... see! i can still buy shirts for the kids. this was not the first time though. hehehe!

is it not cute? hummmmm....

rekindling the fanatics in me

at long last, i was able to watched the national treasure movie. though, i have not viewed it from the very start.. i still enjoyed it. i found the part where nicolas cage was running away from the bad men, funny. he's an action star but he dont look good while running.. seems awkward.. hehehe!

its been a long while also that i have not watched any nicolas cage movie. i think the last one was the 8mm? i am not sure though.. it was soooo long ago..

btw, nicolas cage is my first favorite holywood actor. next is eric bana.. but that's another story =)

right brain dominant ~ ~ ~ first test

Brain Lateralization Test Results
Right Brain (50%) The right hemisphere is the visual, figurative, artistic, and intuitive side of the brain.
Left Brain (40%) The left hemisphere is the logical, articulate, assertive, and practical side of the brain
Are You Right or Left Brained?
personality tests by similarminds.com

Left brain dominant individuals are more orderly, literal, articulate, and to the point. They are good at understanding directions and anything that is explicit and logical. They can have trouble comprehending emotions and abstract concepts, they can feel lost when things are not clear, doubting anything that is not stated and proven.

Right brain dominant individuals are more visual and intuitive. They are better at summarizing multiple points, picking up on what's not said, visualizing things, and making things up. They can lack attention to detail, directness, organization, and the ability to explain their ideas verbally, leaving them unable to communicate effectively.
Overall you appear to be Right Brain Dominant

~~~~~
According to Darwinian theory, optimal evolution takes place with random variation and selective retention. The evolution savvy individual will try many different approaches when faced with a problem and select the best of those approaches. Many historical intellectuals have confessed their advantage was simply considering/exploring/trying more approaches than others. The left brain dominant type suffers from limited approaches, narrow-mindedness. The right brain dominant type suffers from too many approaches, scatterbrained. To maintain balanced hemispheres, you need to exercise both variability and selection. Just as a company will have more chance of finding a great candidate by increasing their applicant pool, an individual who considers a wider set of options is more likely to make quality decisions.
been blog-hopping this afternoon and saw this link in leah's. thanks leah... i enjoyed it. will do this next month again for accuracy. will also post chris' result if i got to make him answer the quiz.. its fun though!
fun-filled trip
our flight to iloilo was two hours delayed. the original schedule was 3PM and it was moved to 4PM. we left the office early to avoid hussles in the airport. finally, when we were already seated close to the gate, it was announced that the flight will be moved to 6PM. the plane that will carry us will be coming from cagayan de oro and will arrive by 5PM.
staying at the airport for more than 2 hours made me witness and experience a new life perspective and able to see what are the travellers, jetsetters are doing while waiting for their flight. some were having pictorials... i have seen one person pulling his luggage to and fro, as if doing some exercise. there was this one lady who's the center of a conversation. she's talking tagalog with ilonggo intonation (i miss the tone). i have been to the rest room thrice... we have been given ample time to choose where and what to eat for snacks. i was able to appreciate the beautiful christmas decors hanging on the walls... and my favorite.. have been able to took a nap. my first time though =)
~~~~~~

a sumptous dinner upon arrival... indeed! with various sea foods to choose from.. from different type of grilled fish, to steamed shells, fresh sea weeds, fish soup... well, dont forget the chicken.. it is indespensable in almost every meal =)... and we were all seated in a veryyyy loooonggggggggg table. i don't know everybody in the group but was able to meet old friends and acquiantances... it was fun!

~~~~~
the night was a bit cool but we decided to swim.. there are lots of pool there.. the water was not soo cold... but a bit freezing when you came out of it. we swan at a not so deep pool.. just 5 feet i think.. and you know that I am less than 5.. so i was a bit tired of tip toeing the entire time that i was in it.. but i was able to practice my swimming stint.. hehehe!
i left early than the others because i started to feel the water becoming itchy. on my way to the room, i met two cats. hummm, i thought to myself, maybe they are the boogeyman that chris was telling me. hehehe. i want to congratulate myself for seeing one as not everybody does. i always wish to see a boogeyman so i will believe in them. hehehe. anyway, one cat cross my path and the other remain on the other side. i am like a queen walking with guards on my both sides.. no cross-swords though. hehehe!
~~~~~~

we were booked on a very early flight. have to woke up very early also. i am wishing that ninang wont hear her mobile phone alarm so we'll woke up late and be left by our flight. apparently, ninang and ate have been praying the same things, that we will not be able to catch up on our flight. hehehe. our prayers were not answered though.

the antique collections at the resort... there are lots of them there. inspires you to make your own =)

remembering the place

we were planning for the group's team building yesterday and one
have mentioned that somebody will be going to boracay next saturday. it brought back the memory of a very nice place in boracay.

this is where we had our honeymoon... a private beach on the upper part of boracay island. it took us almost an hour travel from the island port to this beautiful place.

inside, you can visit the butterfly farm. but apparently, we were not able to visit it though its
close to the villa. we were busy then =) . the villas border the 18-hole, 72-par golf course which was personally designed by Australian Master golfer and designer Graham V. Marsh.

The private boat of the resort docked on one of the beaches.

The master's suite of the three-bedroom villa where we stayed.

The fairways.... I really enjoyed the view here.

Villas above the course.

A private yatch anchored close to the beach. What a serene and peaceful view!

The three-bedroom villa where we stayed. Its on the second level. The place was so big for both Chris and I, that we can even play hide and seek. Hehehe. I was even afraid to go out of the room at night or go to the other room even during the day. There's boogeyman there, Chris said.

One of the spectacular views of the resort.

a beautiful dream...

Dreaming is the subjective experience of remembered and imaginary images, sounds/voices, words, thoughts or sensations during sleep, with the dreamer usually not being able to influence the experience.

can you remember the most beautiful dream you've ever had or ever remember? i had mine last night... it may not be the most beautiful one that i have.. but so far from what i can remember, it is. its not always that i can remember my dream also.

i dreamt of gaving birth to a baby. it was not just shown in my dream what's the baby's sex though. but! guess what? i didn't experience the labor. my friends have been asking me how do i feel, was it painful? but... i just fell asleep and when i woke up, i am no longer pregnant. hehehe.. weird hey! but it was a normal delivery. anyway, that was just a dream...

well, my dream was influenced by my thought before going to sleep. i have been sms-ing Megs, my friend in bacolod, who just gave birth to a baby boy. her second child. she was telling me that she really didn't have the hard time because her labor was just for more than an hour, though the baby is big.

but, yeah, i do want to have a painless delivery, incase. hehehe. i am afraid of pain. chris is really aware of that, right Honey? i cant tolerate so much pain.

i have been telling Chris that i wish to have twins so it will be a one time labor.. hehehe! hope the babies will not kick-out at the same time.. =) but i wish to have a baby soon!

si chris at ang kalabaw

The title of this entry has a very good blend. Hehehe!

Well, wala kasing KALABAW sa OZ kaya My Husband was so fascinated by it. Marami namang view na pwede ko syang kunan, pero KALABAW talaga ang gusto nya.

Oh well, while Chris was a novelty to our place, KALABAW was a novelty to him! Hehehe! Wala kasi nyan sa OZ!

It was our second day in the province, and Chris asked me to roam him around the bush. There's really no place to go as the sugar cane are about to be harvested, we cant see anything far. We decided to went to the river. The water is murky as it just rained the other day.

Huge iceberg breaks apart in Antarctica - Maui-sized iceberg splits into three pieces

Source:
msn

Capping a 5-year-long saga of destruction, an iceberg about the size of the Hawaiian island of Maui has split into three pieces in the frigid Antarctic, scientists said Friday.

The larger iceberg, named B-15A, calved into three smaller icebergs — B-15M, B-15N and B-15P. Two of the larger icebergs (B-15M and B-15N) are about the size of Grand Cayman and St. Croix, respectively.

The fresh splits mark the twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth times that a portion of B-15 has broken off, or calved, since the first calving event on May 30, 2000.

EVAT Implementation

The EVAT Implementation was indeed pushed through last November 1. Isn't it timely, that it is on All Saints' Day, which for Filipinos are practiced as All Souls' Day?

Today is just November 2 and I have already feel the effect of the 10% Value Added Tax.

We just bought snacks from Wendys. There is no longer Wendy's 20s because of it. Instead it is 20s + 2.90 tax.

The TV commercial for EVAT seems to be very convincing, which is talking of paying our debts through the additional taxes to be collected (VAT). I just wish and pray that the additional tax that burdened the people will indeed pay the national debt and not go to somebody's pocket.
